The Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon is the valley’s spring running weekend: oak-lined miles, vineyard edges, and a finish that dumps you back toward Solvang Park for partner pours. For 2027 the planning date is Saturday, May 8, with a Friday expo. Official start-line clock and wave times live on the race site once bibs open; treat 7:00 AM as the spectator arrival target unless your confirmation email says otherwise.
Spectators get more from the Alisal Road corridor and park finish than from trying to chase the course by car. Runners get more from a Thursday or Friday check-in than from a 5:30 AM drive up 101.
