Solvang Spring Wine & Food Festival 2027 is the village’s May tasting day: Santa Ynez wineries set up under the oaks at Solvang Park on Mission Drive, chefs plate cheese and strawberries, and a small stage keeps the afternoon moving. 🎶 The planning date is Saturday, May 8, 2027 — the same sunny weekend the valley also hosts the wine-country half marathon. What makes it special is the scale. You can walk from a Danish bakery to a pinot pour in three minutes, sit in park shade, and still make a Los Olivos tasting room before dinner. 🌿 It is not March’s Taste of Solvang culinary weekend and it is not September’s heritage parades. It is spring in the Santa Ynez Valley: longer light, vineyard green, and a park that smells like oak and wine.
🎟️ Wristbands and walkable rooms disappear first. Lock a hotel near Solvang Park, then grab a tasting pass when the 2027 list opens.
No accordions. No “read more.” Times are Pacific Time and may shift when official 2027 wristbands publish.
If the 2027 pass offers Friday pickup, use Solvang Park or the Visitor Center on Mission Drive. Skipping the Saturday morning line is the whole point of arriving a night early.
Book a table near Copenhagen Drive. Pick up kringle for Saturday breakfast so you are not in a pastry queue at 10:45 AM when gates are about to open.
Park once on the Alisal Road edge or behind Mission Drive. Copenhagen Drive is already a race-and-festival snarl by late morning. The park lawn is two blocks; wear comfortable shoes.
Wristbands on. Start with a crisp Santa Ynez chardonnay or rosé while the sun is still kind. ☀️ Water stations first if you drove; spit cups exist for a reason.
Valley cheese boards, strawberry plates 🍓, and small chef bites at the food tents. This is the lunch window — eat before the 2:00 PM pinot rush.
Acoustic sets under the oaks. Bring a layer; May shade is cool even when the vineyard rows are hot.
Sta. Rita Hills pinot, Happy Canyon cabernet, and Rhône blends from Los Olivos houses. Ask for half-pours if you still want a Sunday vineyard tour.
Tents come down. Walk Mission Drive for a bakery box, then a designated-driver ride to Buellton or your inn. Do not leave a car on Copenhagen Drive overnight.
Shorter lines than Saturday. Æbleskiver and coffee, then checkout. The park lawn will still have festival footprints — the village is yours again.
Book a three-winery picnic or a walkable Grand Avenue tasting. Sunday is for vineyard context, not another park wristband.
